SMOKEY BEAR WANTS YOU!

Do you respond well in emergencies? Were you one of those kids who was out playing in the storm when everyone else went inside? Does the idea of running into a burning building when everyone else is running out appeal to you? Do you like hiking the trails around town? Would you like to try it with a hose on your back and a fire burning uphill? Do you run outside when you hear sirens, wondering where they are going and why? Would you like to be among the first to know? Would you like to be one of the ones with the siren? Would you like to help your friends and neighbors in a hands-on non-political way? At any time of the day or night?

If this sounds like you, you just might be the next Bolinas Volunteer Firefighter. The Fire Department is actively looking for a few more volunteer firefighters. Previous experience is welcome but not necessary. We will train you. Women and men are welcome. Requirements are that you be at least eighteen years of age, be able to pass a physical examination, and be somewhat bent, at least to the degree that you like firefighting, and it is fun as well as satisfying.
