The following quote appeared in a Fall 1990 story in the Whole Earth Review about the Loma Prieta
Earthquake: "Why do some people freeze up at a disaster? I was senseless in the first moments
after the quake, in active denial of what my eyes were seeing. It was my knowledge of CPR that
brought me back to reality. In fact, simply knowing that one knows CPR empowers one to act in such
a situation. CPR is the ultimate tool, far more powerful than any other medical tool. It is
something that all citizens can and should learn."
In just a couple of hours you can learn how to save a life. Having this knowledge truly does
change the way you walk the planet. We offer two different CPR classes to meet your specific needs.
Firstly, we offer the BLS Heartsaver CPR program which will take approximately four (4) hours to complete after which you will
receive certification from the American Heart Association. This course is designed for people who require
CPR certification for employment or simply want a comprehensive course.
Secondly we offier Family and Friends CPR, a shorter two (2) hour course which will teach you CPR but will
not include certification from the American heart Association. As the name implies, this course is aimed at a broader
audience of people who have family members or friends who may need life saving CPR, or perhaps they simply want the
skills to help save a life.

CLASS SCHEDULE:
Classes are scheduled based on demand, so please call the station for current class information.
All classes start at 6:00 PM at the Bolinas Fire station. The cost is $25 which covers the cost of class materals and
an American Heart Association BLS Heartsaver Certification card (provided for the Heartsaver Class only).
