9/23/07 - The Bolinas Fire Protection District, along with the Bolinas Family
Practice and Coastal Health Alliance, held a grand opening for the new fire
station and clinic. Both the fire station and clinic are open and
operational.
11/24/06 - The Bolinas Fire Protection District received part of a $248,335
regional grant from the 2006 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program
administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The Stinson
Beach Fire Protection District and the Muir Beach Volunteer Fire Department also
benefited from the regional grant. All three departments are using the
funds to purchase new breathing apparatus, which will enable us to be compatible
with the rest of the departments in Marin.
4/02/06 - The Bolinas Community Firehouse and Clinic Project held a
groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the new Bolinas Fire Station and Coastal
Health Alliance Medical Clinic. The new facility should be open summer
2007.
8/02/05 - The Bolinas Fire Protection District received a Rural Fire Assistance
Grant from the National Park Service in the amount of $2,600. The money
will be used to purchase tools for road clearing and new forestry hose clamps.
6/27/05 - The Bolinas Fire Protection District received a matching grant of
$3,500 from the State's Volunteer Fire Assistance program towards the purchase
of a tsunami siren warning system. The funds will be used to purchase two
tsunami sirens that will be placed in strategic locations in order to warn the
entire town during a tsunami alert.
5/20/05 - Our new site is up and running. Click on the links at the top or

2/11/05 - The Bolinas Fire Protection District received a grant of $41,380 from the
2004 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland
Security. We used the funds to purchase new portable radios and pagers.
